Arthur McDermott

I’m a photographer based between Thame, Oxfordshire, and Coventry, where I’m currently completing a Bachelor's in Photography. Self-taught for seven years, I began with photographing wildlife around my hometown before turning the same quiet patience on people. I photograph everything that catches light—club nights, meadows, foxes—still fascinated by the various ways light can be manipulated and seen, such as through shadows, or cross-polarisation. I’ve produced one photobook, Boards Ov' Cov', exhibited locally and handed round the skate community in Coventry, and have worked videography at Wickham Festival, shooting stars such as Jerry Douglas, Curtis Stigers and Tony Christie.
